A Dance Macabre by Naomi Loud
5.0
Gods, this story was beautiful and dark and everything that I love. Naomi's writing style is by far one of my favorites I've ever read. It's poetic and consuming - I can't get enough.
This story is very character driven, but the plot still kept me interested and wanting to know more about this world that Naomi created. Speaking of characters - they have personality for DAYS and are all morally corrupt and savage babes.
Every time Wolfgang insulted Mercy, I fell for them a little more. Naomi delivered a TRUE enemies to lovers romance and y'all need to take notes. Their insults are the best f-r3play - both for the spice and their relationship. (His nickname for her is EVERYTHING I didn't know I needed.) Their hatred for one another is obsessive and divine. Their love is wicked and all encompassing. I can not say enough good things about this book.
And last, but certainly not least... the spice. I'm gonna have to talk to my therapist about how much I enjoyed every last drop of spice these two delivered. The tension and buildup are perfectly executed. The hate to obsession to possession left me fanning myself. GOOD GODS.
Okay, well if you can't tell ... I am obsessed with this book and you should absolutely read it as soon as humanly possible.
