The Wide-Awake Princess by E.D. Baker
4.0
i really enjoyed this one. And that's saying a lot since I am not a big fan of princess stories. This was an adorable story, and so funny. While all of the other characters may be your typical fairy tale trope, Annabelle is not. Magic cannot touch her, and maybe that makes her bolder and more confident than she normally would be. But I doubt it. The journey that she goes on is full of everything; adventure, daring rescues (where Annabelle does the rescuing , even of herself), humor and self discovery. Liam was the perfect side character and there is more to him than we are led to believe. I am really looking forward to the rest of the series.
