3.5/4-ish. Without reading the the dust jacket preview or any reviews, I was hoping for a Wuthering Heights-type, but richer and fuller given how Gods of Jade and Shadow felt. The horror twist grossed me out, actual nausea-inducing scenes. Not AT ALL my style. Well done.
