I liked this book. I feel that's all there is to it after you read it. The characters, the pacing, the writing didn't necessarily strike me but I enjoyed it as I went along. The thesis of women and beauty in society is a pervasive and ceaseless subject but I found it to be lacking - unrefined, almost, in perspective of this book. It is interesting seeing it taken and refocused on a beauty-centered society but it didn't quite hit the mark. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable read.
