Sadie by Courtney Summers
5.0
Before you read keep in mind that all of theses are my opinion and I suggest you read the book before you read reviews.
If I had to say what my journey was throughout this whole book. It was crazy. Even before I read this book I’ve always been into reading mystery/thriller books. They just always kept interested and Sadie was now different. I now understand the hype with this book. Which I don’t typically read hyped books.
First, I love the writing style of Courtney Summers . It was so nitty gritty and raw and true. I loved the format with adding the podcast . It balances out Sadie’s point of view. Especially for those of us who can just look at big layers of text at a time.
Second , the characters all were amazing and human as can be. But Sadie herself was my favorite. Despite the certain times like how she was descriptive with her sexuality . But they weren’t so big to affect my rating. Her personality was amazing and to finally see someone who has something medically wrong and act themselves no matter how sarcastic they were. I also loved how determined and loyal she was to her sister Mattie. It was just phenomenal and I don’t think there’s any character that I like more then her.
Third , I loved the pacing of the plot and how you had to learn everything as it goes. I don’t think if this book was like obvious at certain would I have ever enjoyed it as I much I did. I’m a huge fan of books where you have clue things together as we go. So, that was s big up . Now the ending just blew up away at least justice was served for those deserve it.
Last, at first I was really struggling to read this book but once I sat down and read it. It really really instantly become a favorite for me.
So, yeah I think I have enough of gushing over this spectacular book. But I would definitely love to read more works by Courtney Summers.
I suggest if you like action packed, twists and turns at every page superb characters. A book by the end that will make you cry. Then this is the book for you.
