I liked this but I feel like the supernatural aspect of this was unnecessary. This story was horrific without it and the supernatural aspect just confused things. Also, if you’re going to have this book entirely in English, why would you not translate certain Spanish phrases and not others? There were huge paragraphs of Spanish that I just skipped because there was no translation. But for some paragraphs, there was a translation after it. The inconsistency with that really bugged me. Those two things took me out of the story and affected my enjoyment of this. It is scary though and very graphic so make sure to check content warnings.
