I picked this one up randomly to fill a challenge prompt, and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by this sweet gem of a novel! I was completely enraptured by this book from beginning to end. There is a delightfully diverse cast of characters guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings and leave every reader falling in love with at least one of them. The novel has so much heart, and I shed more than a tear or two as this collection of broken people came together to build each other up and learn their worth. It really just struck me in all the right places!

On a different note, I will add that I found myself wishing I had read the books that the book club reads and discusses. If you want to read this book, I recommend reading The Remains of the Day, The Joy Luck Club, Anne of Green Gables, and The Art of Racing in the Rain. All four of these are on my TBR, but I haven't read any of them. I obviously still enjoyed the book, but there are certainly scenes that would have been enhanced by having knowledge of these novels.
