This was a great read and I definitely will read the whole series. I really like historical fiction and Rumors of War did not disappoint in that area. The author does a great job of placing the characters in various areas of the world as World War II begins. Also, the main characters (the Thomas family, and the Stoltz family to a degree) are all fully developed. This is no small task as there are many of them and they are in America, Germany and the Philippines. I love that they are not just shallow, fictional characters. Actually, they are so well developed and believable, that some of them remind me of people I know. Very well written and engaging. I found myself having a hard time putting it down at times.
