Hojas de hierba by Walt Whitman

5.0

This is a balm for the soul, and particularly Borges' translation into spanish capture the beauty of Whitman's choice of words, structure and sound. Not only that: for being a book published in 1855 it is a masterwork about inclusiveness, humanism and self-expression. You can feel how Whitman curated every word, every paragraph, and brought to life the beauty of being human. Not for nothing this is considered a masterpiece of north american poetry.
