Afterlife by Stephanie Hudson

OMG... What a frickin' ride!
This was by far the best suggestion I received off Good Reads thus far! I was prepared to dislike it... but it is now one of my favorite books!
We meet Keira Johnson, twenty-something English woman who suffered from a horrible traumatic event and arrived in the US to live with her English sister, now married to an American, for a fresh start. Keira is plagued by nightmares from her past. However, since arriving in the US, her nightmares have taken an interesting turn. She is greeted in her dreams by a stranger man whom gives her comfort in the dreams that plague her. She decides to enjoy life and meets a couple of friends who introduces her to the night scene through a nightclub named, Afterlife.
Enter: Dominic Draven. Everyone in town seems to be fascinated by "The Dravens", an enigmatic group of individuals who inhabit the VIP area of the club that is exclusive access only. Keira lucks out with securing a job at the club (thanks to her Bro-in-law) and is thrust into the world of The Dravens and intrigued by their head, Dominic. Keria soon learns that this man is more than he seems.
This was such a wonderful love story! One of my favorite tropes is "insecure girl gets the gorgeous guy". This book delivers. Adding a little spooky element to the story gives it that sweet paranormal edge that I enjoy. I loved Keira and her personality and Draven checks all the boxes of the Alpha hero. I cannot say enough things about this book. Their story continues, as there is more to Keira's significance in Draven's world that has yet to be revealed. I am moving on to Book Two! I am so happy that there are 12 books in this series. I intend to savor every one!
Happy reading!
