This Place is a graphic novel anthology about Indigenous history. Anthologies can often be a little hit or miss, but I love this one with all of my heart. The stories are all compelling and brilliant, and the art is gorgeous for the most part. I think retelling the history in graphic novel form was a very good choice. It makes reading and understanding it much easier, and it becomes more accessible (especially for young people). I would recommend this for anyone who’s interested in learning more about the Indigenous history here in Canada!
