SAPPHICS AND FEMALE FRIENDSHIPS WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR! This book had me completely from the start. Vale and Leticia soccer rivals to friend to lovers was just so good. Vale learning what it means to be a captain that’s there for her team while finding joy playing soccer again. Vale realizing that her worth shouldn’t be based on how much soccer games she wins and her dad’s cruelty shouldn’t shape how she handles things. The friendships they formed on the team like it was all just so mushy, I cried multiple times. There was just so much heart in this book and I could tell how much the author cared to craft a story that truly meant something. Racquel Marie really is a force to be reckoned with like she’s too good!
