I felt myself starting to go into a slump, and this was the perfect book to pick up. I FLEW through it. This one is a paranormal erotic romance and Roe wrote this exceptionally well!

We meet King Sebastian, an omega king, who rules his kingdom differently than it has been before. Sebastian has his omega companions and the alphas in his kingdom are taught to cherish and revere the omegas. He is truly such a fascinating character, and I love this take on omegaverse that Roe did. one of the most interesting things is that Sebastian has zero desire to have a mate.

Sebastian comes upon Jonah in the orchard with a stable boy, and he is completely changed after seeing this man. Jonah is a commoner, a peasant, the lowly stable hand. Jonah doesn’t know how to react to his king wanting him, but I loved that he was unwilling to budge on certain requests, even for his king!

This book is FULL of spice. Lots of sharing. Lots of lengthy scenes. It is all SO good, and honestly some of the best omega and alpha dynamic I have read in a book in quite some time. It’s interesting to see the characters give into their baser, animal instincts, in the throes of passion.  I do wish we saw more dialogue in those instances of elevated passion or feelings, but overall even the communication between characters is very well done!

This one is HOT, with a good storyline behind it. I definitely recommend picking this one up if you’re struggling to find something!  It had me immediately hooked and I just could not put it down until I hit that last page!
