The Blaided Faith is the first in an epic fantasy series that follows Cyrus Lythan's journey from Prince of Thanet to the face of a rebellion to save his beloved island from the overarching reach of the Everlorn Empire. I loved everything about this novel. Dalglish took such care in his worldbuilding, creating intricate peoples and places and especially fleshing out the different religions of the world. I've read other books with the same basic premise as this one, but none have been as well-written, from the plotting, to the pacing, and characterization. I highly recommend The Blaided Faith if you are looking for a novel that will entertain you, as well as challenge you to think.
