Really enjoyed how this connects some stories we read about earlier in the series. I can see how reading this first would be useful, but I liked how it was placed when I read it between heir of Fire and Queen of shadows. The connections and additional context were cool. And I finally have a full understanding of how celaena was captured. Would have been nice to understand that before.
