I heard of this book a while ago but wasn't aware that it took place in Milwaukee... The situations in this book show how scummy landlords can be and how they perpetuate problems in society. The good news is that this book is likely partially responsible for a law passed last week that allows renters to see landlords' eviction records before they sign a lease.
