You And Me, Always: An uplifting novel of love and friendship by Jill Mansell

4.0

Though not as moving as "To the Moon and Back" this had me holding back tears on the bus into town this morning. Lily was a wonderfully layered character, she never lied, never wanted to hurt people and had experienced loss at such a young age (something I can identify with). The letter she receives from her deceased mother on her 25th birthday sets in motion events that will change her life - definitely for the better, though they will also cause some pain along the way. Patsy broke my heart, her longing for something that she was sure she would never get to have due to a stream of seemingly always nightmare dates...and Dan, the boy who's always been there, but as a jokey friend who can't be serious about anything, except for the fact that he's got such a big secret that he longs to share with the one person who is absolutely oblivious.

Definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Jill Mansell's books.
