Lords of Pain by Angel Lawson, Samantha Rue
4.0
Love a reverse harem, and this one definitely kept me engaged. While I usually hate when one person keeps secrets from a bunch of others, I could appreciate the validity to our heroine keeping her secret of WHY she became the Lords’ Lady to herself.
I’m also writing this review after having read the entire trilogy, and Story definitely sets a lot of pieces in motion here. I know she doesn’t know about the “game” until the end of the book, so she’s not intentionally doing it, but a lot will come together in book 2 that I, in retrospect, can appreciate. I liked that she picked Killian to be her first with the information she had.
