Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward
4.0
This book surprised me! I really didn't think I would like it much. But, I did!
I'll be honest. I really did not think I would like this book. Only because Butch was a character that I was not really interested. He was always viewed as the sidekick to the other Brotherhood members. I didn't really take him seriously. But I must say, the author did a wonderful job of bringing him out from the shadow of the other Brothers.
Marissa surprised me. It was a pleasure to see her transform from such a sickly-saccharine sweet, wholesome cardboard cutout character to a female who was very sure of herself and became a strong standout, like the heroines in the previous novels.
I wish I could give the book five stars. However, this "chemistry" between Butch and Vishous was left to the imagination and not really explained in depth. I feel like the author never brought this attraction that they two males felt for each other to a close that satisfied me. It was kind of a "don't ask, don't tell" vibe that had me actually googling to answer the question, "Is Vishous bisexual?" Still, I know. But I had to know if it was just me getting these vibes or is there a consensus?
Nevertheless, a very good story that surprised me. I think you'll enjoy it. If not for the main characters story, but the Brotherhood together doing Brotherhood things and just being their crazy selves!
