This five-book historical fiction series is set during World War II, and chronicles a Latter-day Saint family during the many events that took place during that time. Dean Hughes does an excellent job at placing characters in the many events of WWII, and providing thorough and accurate details of the events, as well as crafting authentic characters who struggle to deal with the changes both within and without them. The entire series is amazing.
