I really enjoyed this installment of the Kate Burkholder Amish mysteries. I think Castillo is getting better and better with subtly winding up the tension in her books (even when you *know* where the investigation's leading, which is not easy to do), because I really had a hard time putting this one down. Tough questions are tackled in this book, and a heart-wrenching look at how Kate's past continues to affect her is handled very well. I'm happy that Mona seems to be moving into the mainstream of the series.
