Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
5.0
Subject matter: horrid! Sick, twisted (yes, even classic 1980s satanic nods), but oh. my. wow, can Flynn write a description. Her similes and metaphors are masterful. Exact, unexpected, yet unpretentious. Also, I just love being in on the KCMO jokes. The plot and follow through wasn't as genius as Gone Girl, but still incredibly well-worked. A solid whodunit.
