Cain & Destiny: Wish I Had More

Book Three of the Order of Vampires series continues with Cain finally finding his HEA with news reporter, Destiny, whom we were briefly introduced to in Book Two.

I was very eager to read this book because Cain's character actually fascinated me since reading about his unfortunate fate from Book One. The one instance in book that I love where the villain DOESN'T get the girl. So, I was instantly excited to see that he and Destiny would have a shot at love. While their story was good, it could have been much better.

Like Book Two, the book contained may different storylines. We saw things develop between Grace and Dean, we were still dealing with Adam and Annalise and her connection to Cain (which IMO, needs to end, as I am sick of this divide between brothers), and Jonas' storyline concerning his true mate and the fallout from not completing the bond with Clara. These other story arcs took away from the main couple to the point where I just didn't care about them. I found myself skipping ahead through the other stories just to get back to Destiny and Cain.

Cain, my poor Cain suffered, and it was great to see all of the sacrifices her made for his family get rewarded in Destiny. I loved their HFN ending but there are more shenanigans to come in Book Four. I can't wait until its released.

Happy reading!
