I had a really, really good time with this book. I've read very little shifter/paranormal romance books. That's mostly because I usually prefer the romance to be a subplot especially in fantasy settings because world building is important to me and I find that world building often lacks when romance is the focus (which is totally fair and expected). And because I've found that they also tend to have  sexual explicit content and while I have nothing against that, it's not my cup of tea. But I've read a couple of Hazelwood's books now and while they were not my typcial read, I did enjoy them. When I heard she was writing a werewolf/vampire book, I was intrigued. It's books like this that really show her history with fanfiction and that very much appeals to me. This isn't quite a 5 star read for me, but it's the most fun I've head in several books.
