Beautifully written - a story of sisters who are orphaned and then exploited by an uncle for their fostering money and money left behind by their father, but manage to scrape survival together. I was reminded of being in poverty and home alone with my sister, forming a bond between us during those times that is difficult to describe. I found the descriptions here. Beautiful.
