This was my first Clare Sager book ever, and it’s a good start to the series! You can expect fae and human worlds, quite a bit of spice, dangerous political games, and regency/royal court vibes. I really like how fierce Kat can be, even though she still clearly is fighting her own demons and struggling to make her way in a male dominated world. Bastian is powerful, mysterious, and can do *all* the things with his shadows
