Power and Prediction: The Disruptive Economics of Artificial Intelligence by Avi Goldfarb, Ajay Agrawal, Joshua Gans
5.0
This book, and other books written by these authors on AI and its economic impact, are essential if you’re interested in the field. Even in the preface, they prove they are the experts as they list off other big businesses and organizations that consider them the authority on the topic. The amount of study, effort, and thought that has gone into compiling this catapults it above most books about AI and business integration of AI.
In examples they provide, such as in the opening chapter, The Between Times, they easily draw parallels to the content. This is great, so even the casual person interested in the topic can read with little effort. The writing doesn’t distance itself from the layperson as you might expect. The most significant benefit is for small and large entrepreneurs and how AI can ultimately benefit them. This is a book to check out if you’re even remotely interested in AI and how it’s shaping our interactions in business.
