My feelings about this book and the South and Charleston are all complicated. And should be. I didn’t read it for grammatical errors, but to read other reviews, it was rife with inadequacies and far short of Pat’s best efforts. I ate the last half of the book like biscuits and gravy during a hangover. Quickly, dutifully, and as a healing balm.
