I absolutely adored this book. The way it leverages misunderstandings is already fun on its own, but the smarmy narration is what truly heightens the hilarity of Mia’s circumstances. The prose is smart and simple, and the turns of phrases chosen by the translator were always fitting and never took me out of the story.

We really need more dumb heroines like Mia in fiction.
