LET IT BE KNOWN THAT I!! HATE!!! CHEATERS!!!
I almost DNFd on that alone — I just wondered from the blurb why they were exes. But a friend and I were reading this together so I powered through. I am glad I did, I loved the way this played out. Considering I only read books with HEA. Chase is pretty unredeemable throughout most of the book but the chemistry between him and Madi is undeniable. In no way shape or form is he my next book boyfriend but I would swoon over him irl too. I did grow a soft spot for him due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the fake engagement being super relatable for me but for the most part I enjoyed the book.
