SUCH an excellent compilation of information! Whether you’re just starting to learn about the dangers of processed food/sugar or you’ve already journeyed in that direction for a while, there’s something in here for you. It was incredibly interesting to do a nutritional deep dive on a cellular level into exactly how our bodies work in the presence of processed food vs. real food; especially being in remission from metabolic disease myself. There’s also plenty in here about the corruption behind Big Food and Big Pharma, why drugs don’t actually heal metabolic disease, and actionable steps we can take both as individuals and as a society to heal and get back to our roots when it comes to food and health. One of those books that I would’ve heavily annotated and highlighted if it hadn’t been borrowed from the library. I would give a copy of this book to everyone in my life if it weren’t such a dicey topic to bring up… but since I’m too scared to do that, here’s me recommending this stellar book to anyone who happens to be reading this.
