The Secret Book Of Flora Lea by Patti Callahan Henry
2.0
Charming tale of loss and discovery, but ultimately a story about stories and who they belong to. The actual story, ‘Whisperwood’ could have been better explained as it had no plot and was filled with fanciful creatures. I would have liked more emphasis on other characters, the nurses and their trauma, the mother, Bridie, but the books focus prioritised Hazel and became a little repetitive.
