The Resurrectionist was a slower read for me. The story is good and the plot is solid, it just took me longer to get into the story. I found myself carrying the book around but only reading a few pages at a time. Yet, when I did pick it up and read I was engaged and enjoyed the story. It’s a historical fiction centering on the body snatchers of the early enlightenment. Our protagonist runs across Scotland’s first serial killers and helps his new love interest uncover the crimes.
