This book follows directly on from the last which we spent with Antsy in the Shop Where Lost Things Go and I appreciated this as it does sometimes feel like we jump from one character to another (I must admit that references to past quests in this book did go over my head a bit as I couldn’t always remember who was who, or what their story was). I also really liked learning more about how the doors worked and I think looking back on some of those past stories through this context was very interesting. But I didn’t enjoy this story quite as much as the previous one. It felt slightly more like a filler volume which was a shame as I do really enjoy this series. Nonetheless, it was still enjoyable and I look forward to the next.
