Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton
4.0
I have had Haunting Adeline on my TBR for well over a year, and after its resurgence in popularity on BookTok and BookTube I finally picked up this dark romance. And dark it really was... it doesn't surprise me that this book was previously banned on Amazon for a period of time. It also has a very extensive trigger warning list, which I highly recommend reading.
Some of the chapters and spicy scenes were so intense, I can't stop thinking about them. I definitely see the appeal with Zade Meadows. I really enjoyed both the MMC and FMC in this book and the romance between them. I think Zade's plot with his line of work was much more interesting to me than Adeline's plot with the murder mystery of her great-grandmother. I liked Daya too, Adeline's best friend.
This book ended very suddenly on a cliff-hanger so thankfully I already have book #2, Hunting Adeline, downloaded and ready to go.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
