Well, I've got a new series. Despite the flaws of this first book, I enjoy Kate and Curran enough to keep going. And yikes, there are flaws, but nothing a pitiless copyedit wouldn't have fixed. Did this get a copyedit? At all? Misused words, sentences that almost make sense, info-dumping that's not as clear as the writer thinks it is, and a few leaps of logic that needed a tad more explanation...

Whatever. Urban fantasy is my catnip, particularly vampires and shifters, so yay for nine more books to devour!
