The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel
5.0
This is a really beautiful book on childhood trauma and the pain abusive adults leave well into adulthood. It also does a great job discussing the pain that women experience at the hands of men, especially in terms of not being believed.
Do not read this book if you are faint of heart, or you can't handle taboo topics that are portrayed. There is incest/grooming discussed but nothing is really described on page.
