Celeste Ng’s done it again. She seriously never disappoints.
This is soooo different from what I thought it was going to be. I had no idea this would be a dystopian novel about an America that is so anti-Asian that children are being separated from their families??
But wow, Celeste Ng’s writing is really something and to hear it read by Lucy Liu was *chef’s kiss*
I was so wrapped in this story, and even though it started to lose me a little bit in the last 1/3 of the book, Margaret’s last words to Bird made me stop where I was, and just listen and cry. Heart-wrenching.
I still think “Everything” is my favorite book by Ng, but this was so worth my time. I’m so glad I finally read this.
