Beowulf: A New Translation by Maria Dahvana Headley

Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.
The modern translation has it's merits and I think I would have like to read this “no fear Shakespeare” version of event. Listening to it, however, felt ridiculous. And I blame that entirely in the lackluster performance not the translator who explained her decision making very well in the introduction.
