The Corfe Castle Murders by Rachel McLean

4.0

I enjoyed this book, the first in a series that is set very close to where I live. I loved the fact that I could relate to the locations and I could almost picture the action in various parts of Dorset. The book is well paced and the story keeps your attention with lots of little twists along the way. The best part, however, is the way the characters are developed as the story moves on. I have to admit to taking an instant dislike to the DS Dennis, but this softens a little as the story reaches its conclusion. Overall, I really enjoyed Rachel's writing style and the pace of the story. I've already started book two in the series.
