This is the first book of the Dorset Crime series. I do not know any of the other titles yet, but I enjoyed this first part a lot. DCI Lesley Clarke is a great main character, and things are getting interesting around her from the beginning. Some people seem to be biased against her, and her pretty old-fashioned Detective Sergeant comes over as a rather annoying colleague and she has to deal with him more than she wants to. The story is well written, the characters are interesting and the tranquil setting adds a lot to the atmosphere. So, readers of whodunits might enjoy this title a lot. 5 out of 5 stars.
