7.8 - Good
Overall, a satisfying ending to the series, my second favorite overall. There is a lot that was predictable, but the characters really became very good by the end, and everyone received a satisfying ending, whether it was happy or sad. There were sufficient stakes throughout, and I was never bored, though I also wouldn't call any part of the story fantastic. Overall, this story definitely scratches an itch for those who miss classic fantasy, while intermixing some more modern advancements in fantasy-telling. I personally am just not that huge of a fan of classic fantasy, so while I enjoyed the series overall, it was never the kind of story I will love.
