Wow, I had to postpone writing this review until the next day to collect my thoughts. I've heard from many people that Mistborn is a great series, but I really wasn't expecting this.

I was completely blown away and hooked by the first book! Brandon Sanderson has created an absolutely stunning and incredibly well planned world. My favourite part was the system of allomancy, where people get different powers by taking metals.

I liked Vin, the protagonist, right from the start. Her development from insecure girl to strong fighter is captivating and emotional. But the other characters, especially Kelsier, are also colourful and deep. Their relationships and the conflicts they experience with each other make the story even more intense.

I don't want to spoil anything here, but I wasn't expecting the end of the book at all and am very excited to see what happens next.
