Maddie, a young 20-something is living in London and is of Ghanaian descent. She is generally unappy; working a job she doesn't like and living at home, being the primary caretakers of her father, who is suffering from Parkinson's disease. After a change with her employment, she is inspired to move out and begin living life on her own. The story follows her as she navigates roommates, dating, sex, etc., while also balancing her cultural expectations.
