Wow. What an incredible story!

Warcross takes virtual reality and young adult to a whole new level. It was beautiful written, well paced, world building was phenomenal - everything about it was just so well written and crafted.

Minor notes: I noticed that Lu sometimes wrote wrong character names to situations (e.g during the first match, she called Tremaine the Fighter when he’s the Architect, then doubled back and mentioned Max, who is the Fighter; she called Jena ‘Penn’ during the climax of that battle). Other than that, I can’t fault this book at all.

And the ending? I saw the identity of Zero coming, but Hideo? My god man.
