The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker
4.0
3.5*
As far as myth retelling go, this one is quite interesting. We know all about the glories of Achilles, Patroclus and the man of the Trojan war, but what about the women? Always erased from history, this books gives them back their (dark) narratives. Behind these ''heroic'' men, were literally and figuratively, enslaved women. It was a good read, the writing is beautiful and necessary but I wasn't quite taken by it either.
