Orphan Island by Laurel Snyder
2.0
Read Orphan Island by Laurel Snyder
Rating: ⭐⭐ or (4.57/10)
Characters - 5
Pretty simplistic character development. So many questions about them though.
Atmosphere - 5
I mean, the atmosphere stayed the same and there was a lot of detail regarding what kinda place the island was. But I wanted more of a story of what was beyond the island. And every time it would bring the world beyond the island up, it would go to the something else and leave me wanting more.
Writing - 5
It was good at the start, but then I don’t know what happened toward the end.
Plot - 4
For the book to be almost 250 pages, the plot should’ve have a lot more movement. The MC was wack and not in a good way. And I was left on a really bad ending.
Intrigue - 5
Mid. It was intriguing enough to keep reading, but nothing special.
Logic - 5
The logic pretty much went out the window toward the end. The MC was clearly driving on impulse, and it left me quite confused.
Enjoyment - 3
I thought I’d really enjoy this book, but I didn’t. I didn’t DNF it simply because I reading it for some book challenges. But otherwise, I would have DNFed it.
