I read this book because I needed a palette cleanser for my smutty high fantasy binge I'd been on. The heroine was ditzy and inexperienced verging on idiotic. Very corny, but I personally enjoyed the sex scenes. The MMC gaslights the FMC towards the end and I feel a little vindicated when she doesn't forgive him right away, but honestly would have loved for her to ACTUALLY sleep with someone else, not just lie about it. I don't understand the fascination with virgin FMCs and then keeping to one single man after the MMC says awful awful things. Blah.
I gave an extra star because the banter and comfort of the relationship reminded me of my own and I couldn't help but smile at times and I love cats as well.
Warning there is a pregnancy cliche in the epilogue. You can probably skip it.
