Ashlyn Drewek absolutely nailed it with Arcanum! This standalone paranormal romance, inspired by the Temperance card from the Tales from the Tarot series, is my favorite so far.

The story follows Greyson, a witch rebuilding his life, and Chris, a K9 officer healing from a bad relationship. As neighbors, they share an instant connection, but their romance is a slow burn as they work through their pasts. Greyson’s bookstore and his witchcraft bring calm and balance to his life, while Chris is drawn to Greyson’s quiet strength despite his own hesitations.

I loved how their relationship grew naturally, with small gestures evolving into something deeply meaningful. The mystery surrounding the story added intensity and kept me hooked, while the small-town charm of Mapleton brought a cozy, magical atmosphere.

This book had it all—romance, magic, and heart—and I couldn’t put it down. Greyson and Chris’s journey to their HEA was perfect in every way!
