Vicious by V.E. Schwab
5.0
Wow. All I can say is wow.
The entire story is so messed up and it takes a spin on a really classic story of the superhero and the supervillain in which Schwab makes both of them just really terrible people.
The entire story is so well plotted out and executed in a way that it almost reads like a movie. I really would like them to turn this into a movie.
There is no hero in this book as both are equally not morally sound.
I really like that this book brings up a lot of questions that can be applied to society. Who is really the hero and who is really the villain in the stories reported by the media? How far are we willing to go to become extraordinary? What will our own last thoughts be? What is worth more, humanity or scientific discovery?
Anyways, this book was an incredible ride and I feel like this is one of those books that everyone needs to read.
